Whoa. Uh, haven't done this in a while, hah.

Today I was thinking about DailyBooth (check me out here) and the internet in general, and wanted to talk a bit about it. I figured the best place to do so is on my blog, despite the fact that I haven't used this thing since 2008. 2010 now, happy new year, yo.

Anyway.

I find it amazing, the different kinds of people there are on this big thing we call the internet. Mostly, two kinds that fascinate me. For instance, one of my friends on DailyBooth was going through a rough time the other day, and a ton of terribly nice people (including myself, ahem) took a few minutes out of their time to leave him some comforting comments. We all assured him that even when you feel unloved and sad, there are lots of people out there willing to be your friend and love you for who you are. Today, he's feeling much better, thanks to the kindness of strangers and friends who likely live miles away from him.

This happens a lot on DailyBooth; whenever you need some cheering up, just booth about it and you get at least a few nice comments.

On the other hand, there are people on YouTube and Twitter and pretty much every social network, who waste their time just to post hate comments and make undeserving people feel worthless. What's up with that?

I'm afraid this is one of those times where I have this thought, but I'm not sure what my conclusion is. I suppose this is a question of sorts; why do some people use their time to ruin other peoples' lives, while others use it to make people feel better?

I guess I should try to do this more often. See you next time I'm questioning something. :p
